The fact that Muslims have failed to continuously pass the teachings of Islam (in practice) to their next generations, have caused us suffer a lot in ever face of life, and marriage is by no means an exception to it.
Islam provides the best solution toward foundation of a strong society, which is based on oath of lawful partnership (Nikah) in the name of Allah (SWT) in front of the whole society. There is no other way to legal reproduction of mankind, and this has been the practice of all true religions and of all Prophets (AS).
Tranquility, love and mercy indeed are the essence of marriage, and Brother Raid Ouarzazi is right in his saying so. This degree must increase with the passage of time. And if someone is feeling the opposite in his marital relation, he/she needs to look for such tips to improve this relationship, otherwise this leads to a decay of society.
