Simplify your Life

We are all striving hard to be the best at work, stay in amazing shape, have an amazing married life, have a beautiful home and the list of perfection goes on. But as this list grows and the obsession of perfection increases we find that we have less time for things that really matter to us the most. All of this just leads to more complexity in your life to maintain all the perfection and eventually you find yourself with health/psychological problems. A few things you can do to simplify your life are as follow:

Saying “No”
How many times have we been stuck in doing something which we don’t want to do. Its an art to learn how to say NO, so that you can actually do things you like and de-stress your life. Just simply state you don’t have the time or you are just too tired. A long explanation is not needed and just be relaxed in your tone.

Place for Everything
So much time and stress is caused by always searching for things. Create places for similar items and always keep them there. Time is too precious to be looking for the same things all the time and fighting over where things are put away.

No more slavery to Email
That’s right I said it you Blackberry junkies. No more blinking red light and you have to see it or you will die feeling. Once you decide to put away work then just relax and put it away. It’s really amazing how good it feels and how relaxing it is. Also all those junkie newsletters, fliers, updates on points should have their own email account so you are not bothered by them in your important inbox. You only see them when you want to see them.

Clean Closets
Get rid of all clothes you will not wear, don’t fit and even things in there you don’t need any longer. Its hard to get rid of stuff but be ruthless and just do it. Remember that less is actually more. It’s so much nicer when you can just wear something without trying out 10 different outfits.

Calendar
Having a calendar to organize your schedule goes a long way in removing stress. It’s a life saver and you are never surprised. The trick is to add items to your calendar immediately so you don’t forget to add them later.

Ask for Help
If there is just too much going on and you cant handle it anymore just simply ask for help. The relief is so pleasant and once you get in the habit of just asking you will enjoy life a lot more. All you have to do is move your lips and you actually get help. Wow that is an amazing deal. Try it!
